Boca '13

Davide Carlone’s winemaking roots go back to the 1880s, tho he has led production since 1989 of this 3.5ha plot in Boca DOC, Alto Piemonte. His approach is all about getting out of the way of the wine expressing itself, using organic methods in the vineyard, and hands off in the winery where spontaneous ferment and ageing in steel or aged oak are standard. Grapes are hand harvested from a small vineyard of ancient volcanic terroir, vinified with native yeasts, and aged over 3yrs before release.
