Clos Lapeyre

Clos Lapeyre Jurançon Sec '21

Clos Lapeyre is located in the Jurançon region of south west France, between Pau and Biarritz and was founded in 1920 by Jean Larrieu. The estate is run by Jean's grandson, Jean-Bernard, who assumed control in 1985 replanted the entire estate with vines. The 12 hectares of vines are cultivated organically, face south towards the Pic-du-Midi, a position which provides some protection from summer winds and sunshine. Made only from Gros Manseng grape, Clos Lapeyre shows some of the honey and nut flavours characteristic of Jurançon but is bracingly dry and fresh.
