Bernard Levet
Cote Rotie Amethyste '17
Four generations of Levet family vignerons have tended to their domain since the 1930s with great-great-granddaughter Agnès Levet now working with her father Bernard to produce under the radar, highly sought after small production wines. Agnès makes some of the best cuvées in the northern Rhone (without the price tag of some over the radar equivalents). Améthyste is sourced from vineyards in the steep slopes of Côte-Rôtie in Northern Rhône. Petit Serine (an ancient syrah varietal) is blended traditionally with concurrently fermented viognier, offering complex longevity with a uniquely light texture.
