Heimann & Fiai

Kadarka Porkoláb-völgy '20

Dedicated to indigenous Hungarian grapes and winemaking, Heimann & Fiai (Sons) have been making wine in the region since 1758. The Kadarka grape almost went extinct because of Communism; Heimann and family have been largely responsible for developing clones of the varietal. The Szekszárd appellation, where the vinyards are located, was originally developed by the Celts, and later expanded by the Romans, making it one of the oldest winemaking regions in the world. All wines are aged in clay and Hungarian oak or stainless.
