Oro de Castilla Verdejo '23

The history of Hermanos del Villar begins with Pablo del Villar Escudero, a cereal farmer who dreamed of Verdejo, a grape he found to be uniquely suited to the soil of his then very rural corner of Rudea. Now run by the third generation of the family, the winery focuses on soil integrity, employing modern technology during vinification in an effort to stave off oxidation and extract only the purest of flavours. This Verdejo was harvested at night for maximum freshness and fermented on indigenous yeast for a true expression of Rudea Verdejo. It aged on lees with battonage for at least four months.
