Plaimont
Plénitude Madiran Rouge '14
Plaimont is a prominent wine cooperative in Southwest France, established by André Dubosc, a third-generation winemaker. André champions local winemaking traditions, reviving the region’s reputation through sustainable farming techniques and his selection of climate hardy pre-phylloxera grapes. Vineyard harvest of this Tannat (indigenous grape typically making high tannin, rich wines) is manual and the wine is aged for over a year in large oak barrels before release. Why: Winemaker goes back to the future marrying progressive techniques with traditional production.
