Village Chardonnay '23

Kumeu River is New Zealand’s premier Chardonnay producer, having established in the 1950s just north of Auckland. The Brajkovich family have drawn inspiration from their Old World Burgundy contemporaries to make wines of complexity, texture, and freshness; to the extent now they are more than worthy peers (as noted by any wine journalist or Master of Wine worth their salt). Fermented in 60% stainless steel tanks and 40% old French oak, there is little or no discernible wood treatment on the nose, and is only felt on the palate in a softer texture.
