As buds break and spring unfolds, we’ve been busy selecting shareable wines perfect for BBQ, gardens, and outdoor events. June’s bundles feature exciting vignerons like ex rugby player turned maverick winemaker Pierre Cros who cultivates traditional French varietals and also Portuguese and Italian grapes, and, Jonathan Grieve who utilises a unique ‘posse’ of ducks to keep his vineyards free of snails, eliminating the need for chemicals.

Cheers to sunshine, adventure, and a glass (or two) in the grass.

Seehof Riesling Trocken '22

For four generations, the Fauth family of Weingut Seehof have been making very fine wines in the small town of Westhofen, in Rheingau.

Serve with smoked salmon or cured fish, roasted pork belly, or pickled garden vegetables.

Expect green apples, lime, sherbet and a hint of petrol.

Clos Lapeyre is located in the Jurançon region of south west France, between Pau and Biarritz and was founded in 1920 by Jean Larrieu.

Enjoy with a vinaigrette dressed salad, Vietnamese noodles with lemongrass chicken, or moules frites.

Expect honey, crisp green apple, and citrus freshness.

South African winery Avondale’s motto, ‘Terra Est Vita’ translates to ‘Soil is Life,’ reflecting their sustainable and organic farming methods, with a focus on biodynamic principles.Viticulturist Jonathan Grieve (who goes by the nickname ‘Jonty’) utilises ducks to keep the vineyards free of snails, eliminating the need for chemicals.

Serve with good fish and chips, or scallops in brown butter.

Expect honeyed tropical fruits and brie.
