Made with the hands of a dedicated vigneron, a beautiful bottle of wine can transport and transcend. Journey with us as we explore selections from sunnier lands: Rueda, Spain, where the Ontañón Family, known for their mastery of the Verdejo grape, organically nurture 60-year-old vines; and El Porvenir de Cafayate, a family-owned winery in Salta, Argentina, where vines flourish at an extraordinary altitude of nearly 1,900 meters — among the world’s highest vineyards.

El Porvenir de Cafayate is a small, family owned winery in Salta, specialising in Torrontes, Malbec, Tannat and Moscatel planted in some of the highest vineyards in the world at c.

Serve with roasted or grilled aubergine (like paneer stuffed aubergine with red lentils and coconut sauce), whole roasted cauliflower. Or serve with some chunks of Comte.

Expect blackberry, baking spices, and pepper.

Ribera del Duero Crianza '21

Rippa Dorii is run by the Ontañón Family, and is the latin name for Ribera del Duero. Their vineyards are found in the Fuentecén area, in the heart of the Ribera region, fed by the Duero and its tributary the Riaza river.

Complement with Spanish slow cooked lamb, tikka masala, or cheese and onion crisps.

Expect red fruit, tobacco, and fresh acidity.

Winemaker JD Rossouw emphasizes minimal intervention to highlight terroir-driven wines, often featuring small-batch production from specific vineyard sites. .
