Envínate (“wine yourself”) is the brainchild of wine university friends Laura Ramos, Jose Martínez, Roberto Santana, and Alfonso Torrente. Their focus is on revealing the ancient, Atlantic-infused terruños of Ribeira Sacra and the Canary Islands, as well as exceptional vineyard plots across the Iberian Peninsula.

Pair with pappardelle with rose harissa, black olives, and capers, smoked charcuterie, or a handful of raisins.

Expect red and black fruits, lilac, and spice.

Trenzado '21

This small family winery practices traditional vine training methods to preserve the centuries old wine-making heritage of the Canary Islands. Ungrafted vines of 100+yrs are cultivated on rugged sea-facing cliffs in volcanic soil and trained in the goblet style, keeping the fruit close to the ground, sheltered from the elements. .

Delicious with spiced lamb (think tagine or biryani), roasted or grilled aubergine (like paneer stuffed aubergine with red lentils and coconut sauce), whole roasted cauliflower. Or serve with some chunks of Comte.

Expect citrus, minerality, and smoke.
