We’ve tucked away some of our bolder Ourglass bottles this month as we take our spin toward the sun. May’s bottles dive into fresh and light flavour perspectives, from winemakers such as Jean Boucabeille whose organic vineyard is home to over 100 beehives and Raúl Pérez, one of the most exciting of the new wave of Spanish producers.

Terre de Asorei

Nai e Senora Albarino '23

Adegas Terra de Asorei was formed in 2006 of six families keen to put their expression of albariño on the map.They operate 60 ha of Galician vineyards, driven to underline what they believe to be albariño’s status as Spain’s greatest white grape variety.

Albariño’s acidic kick makes it a perfect accompaniment to salads with vinaigrette, mignonette drizzled oysters, and hot summer days.

Expect citrus herbaceousness and minerality.

Home to over 100 beehives, vigneron Jean Boucabeille obsesses over the health of his domaine’s organic vineyards.The eleven hectares of vines are carefully hand harvested and fermented with indigenous terroir yeast. .

Serve with coconut shrimp, Gruyère, or cheesy, garlicky roasted fennel pasta.

Expect orchard, pitted fruits, and citrus.
