Discover wine’s possibilities

“Laughter is wine for the soul - laughter soft, or loud and deep, tinged through with seriousness - the hilarious declaration made by man that life is worth living.”― Sean O'Casey

In both the Iliad and the Odyssey, victims and heroes of the Trojan war sail over waters described as “wine dark”. The linguistic obstacles that bar us from the full academic understanding of Homer’s meaning do nothing to dampen the depth and gravity of a world described with such luxe richness that we ourselves hear the lap of the waves against the hull, feel the salt wind tangle our hair, smell the brine and adventure on the horizon before us. Sensual experience brings us into the folds of the world; texture and sight ground us, smell and sound give us wings. The right bottle, with vibrant symphonies of flavour or mellow and restrained aromas, invites us to feel. This month we bring you wines full of experience and joie de vivre, wines that make each moment stretch an eternity.
