Ink Grade Vineyard Zinfandel

This mountain-grown Napa Valley Zinfandel from Heitz Cellar captures the variety’s more refined potential. Planted in 1990 on Howell Mountain’s volcanic slopes, the Ink Grade Vineyard benefits from high elevation, cool breezes and organic farming. Heitz was established in 1964 by Joe and Alice Heitz in Saint Helena and remains central to Napa’s evolution. This cuvée shows Zinfandel’s natural affinity for California; bright raspberry and black cherry are supported by peppery lift and supple, velvet-textured tannins. Ageing in American and French oak brings subtle spice and structure without excess weight.
