Toby Owen, once a London wine merchant, learnt his craft at San Polino before founding Coste del Vivo in Seggiano, Tuscany. From a 2.5-hectare plot in the Vivo valley, Rosso No.1 2018 blends generosity and structure. Expect blackberry, herbs and subtle woodland notes with natural freshness. Serve with venison pappardelle or fig and prosciutto salad. This Tuscan red shows dark fruit, savoury herbs and depth, ideal with game or cured meat.
