Discover wine’s possibilities
“Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.”
― Pablo Picasso
We’re drawn to the makers who take their craft to a level of mastery where rules evolve and develop like the aromas of one of their wines in a glass.
This month, we feature producers such as activist winemakers Vins et Volailles who aren’t afraid to blend five uncommon grape varietals to create uniquely pleasurable blends, and Meinklang, one of Europe’s most respected biodynamic family wineries.
We hope that March’s bottles pique your interest and encourage you further down the rabbit hole.
PS: We poured at the inaugural Seedlegals Startup Awards 2024 as wine partner toasting the success of the UK’s startups, including perennial favourites like AA Badenhorst’s Chenin Blanc, Breton’s La Dilettante Sparkling Vouvray, and Raisins Gaulois by Marcel Lapierre among others.
PPS: Keep an eye on the Ourlass website, Instagram, and YouTube for new videos from the FT’s Tim Hayward as well as tasting films with Michael Sager (including this corker where Michael talks of wine as food).
Cheers, MJ
