Frédéric Mugnier’s Clos de la Maréchale is the only premier cru monopole in Nuits-Saint-Georges, producing poised, age-worthy Pinot Noir from limestone-rich soils. This 2016 shows raspberry, rose petal, forest floor and fine-grained tannins with a long, savoury finish. Serve with rosemary lamb, cep risotto or hasselback beetroot. This Côte de Nuits Pinot shows red fruit, florals and earth, ideal with rare meat or autumnal veg.
