Discover wine’s possibilities

‘A little Madness in the Spring

Is wholesome even for the King.’

— Emily Dickinson

Here at Ourglass, we get our kicks in a few different but related ways. There’s joy in shared interest, and conveying what matters about a wine, its maker, its terroirs, and the pleasure you can expect. But the real joy in sharing for us comes in a shared moment, like singing along with everyone at a gig or the match. The ‘Yes, yes, and a yes’ Mr. Emerson spoke of in Room with a View taken another way. It’s a high bar - an impossible one to pull off every time - but one worth aspiring to. If we can share a few of those moments, through a well chosen bottle or two, we’ll have served our purpose.

To celebrate new beginnings and seasons, we’ve mixed some new and established favourites from makers including Raúl Pérez, Jean Louis Chave and Alexandrie Régis Boucabeille among others. Cheers to spring madness and new eras.

PS: New on the website, wine writer Lauren Eads - of Decanter Magazine among others - shares her thoughts on what makes a good wine club, demystifying food and wine pairing, plus Ben’s contributed a glossary of wine terms and hopefully make sense of the language of wine. We’ve also created some mood based playlists on our Spotify - have a listen and share your thoughts.
