Domaine Tempier
Rosé
This iconic Provençal rosé from limestone-clay soils is the benchmark by which all others are judged. The Peyrauds of Domaine Tempier make the world’s most celebrated rosé; steep vineyard slopes and Mediterranean light yield wines of depth and energy. Predominantly Mourvèdre with Grenache and Cinsault, it’s grown organically on terraced clay-limestone terrain in sight of the sea. Strawberry, raspberry and blood orange lead into a savoury, textured palate. The direct press method and extended ageing create structure and earthiness that reward decanting or short cellaring. More than refreshment, this is rosé with intent. This iconic Provençal rosé from limestone-clay soils shows wild berry, earthy minerality and serious structure with ageing potential, ideal with Mediterranean fare.
